It’s hard to follow the language, speaking to fast with a bit of pronunciation problems makes it hard to follow.

Refined my knowledge to build my next plugin better. good things: 1. the sections on plugin options page and widget are really cool. 2. stress on sanitization and security not good things: 1. beginner section on key concepts should either be removed or more elaborative, as it lacks details.

Outstanding! So much useful content. I’m not so easily impressed by courses on Udemy. But this one is a gem. The author did an excellent job explaining the WP dev proces. As a great bonus he thought me new ways to improve my overall code programming skillsset.

Really a great course. I knew the front end programming and this course helped me to understand a lot of things for what concerns the back end. The instructor is prepared and comprehensive. I do not give full marks because in some situations the translation of the subtitles are not translated well, but the instructor with his continuous examples is clear for the final understanding. It would be nice if the instructor also extended the course to custom database tables and ajax features. Anyway highly recommended

Amazing course if you are serious about WordPress Plugin Development following standards and OOP. The instructor is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. The pronunciation can be hard at the beginning but you get use to it really fast. The course could be better if it were more project oriented, in terms of developing a useful plugin with data from an external API or something, but I guess it teaches you what it promises: How to use a Boilerplate and develop a plugin with it. I have learnt a lot of PHP, how to import and create classes and how to add code from other developers to extend the capabilities of your codebase. Thanks a lot!

so far very clear; videos could be very slightly tighter (omit or fast forward the unzipping dialogue box, for example)

I started this course, with basic PHP knowledge, but in the end, I managed to create my own plugin! Rao was there when I needed him on the Q&A section, and personally via email, and guided me through my problems. Even though there are parts that could be better and more informative, still it is an excellent course! I would recommend it 100%!

Rao explains things clearly. I have not found any confusion in his explanations nor the concepts. BUT… This course is useful if you have a basic understanding of PHP and OOP. If not, first you MUST get that knowledge then come back to the course. This is not the course’s or instructor’s problem, but this is the nature of OOP. You need to know the structure and relation between methods in different files. A colleague of mine got this course as well, and she was not happy because she did not have basic PHP knowledge. Otherwise, this course is a solid foundation to become a well versed plugin developer and not just throwing random functions in the plugins folder.

I have some cursory knowledge of building plugins and needed to get more in depth for a position I am applying for.
