Explanations are unclear at times and holy moly this guy moves way too fast and skips over many things entirely. ONLY take this course after you have a solid understanding of React and THEN want to learn about the deployment process and some bells and whistles for full fledged apps.

This course was fun! Challenged me to keep my ReactJS and Javascript skills up as we went along. There’s so much that goes into this type of app and to see it broken down is really cool. Teacher was great, but went a little fast at times for me.

Project is overall really good and Reed is a really good teacher, explaining almost everything we need to know about the methods used in this course. The only problem is that there is a really huge amount of people on this course, and Reed can’t answer everyone’s questions. It isn’t his fault to be honest but mind this if you consider buying this lesson. This is not a beginner course, if you don’t know what you’re doing and don’t know how to solve problems by yourself, you should know there is a good chance that the question that you ask to Reed is not going to be answered.

This is not a course. This is a guy talking about some scripts he has been coding for a while. Sure, you will end up with a nice repo after the course (if you manage to follow it) and if that’s what you want it’s ok. But if your purpose is learning then this will not be helpful. This guy does not explain anything he is doing, why he is doing it or how. How things work or how should be done. Don’t misunderstand me: the guy is good at what he does, coding. But he is not a teacher at all. Also, some parts of the code are outdated.

Good course with valuable information, I got knowledge of Redux and Firebase in one course. Sometimes it is very quick and the instructor doesn’t comment some of his actions, I had to use 0.5x speed most of the time, so there are ways to improve things. But the level of knowledge he gives is high, so I would recommend it anyway.

Great course, but very fast. If instructor slowed down a bit this would be perfect. And I don’t mean in terms of speed, as in 2x’ing to fix. I’m referring to pausing for a second after typing a line of code, so that the user can easily pause to copy or code along. Changes are made and off the screen before instructor has even finished saying what he was about to type. I think stating okay, now we’ll add the users… type the few lines, re iterate what each line does, pause for 1 second then move to next task. Otherwise, app looks great and works great. Finding tutorials with apps that actually work and look great are rare, so thank you.

It looks like this was exactly what I needed to scale up my understanding and abilities as developer in general especially functional programming! It was really good, it helped to understand a bit more about redux while working with some more complex funtionalities as well as other tricks that I did not know. It is definitely not a course for someone who is just starting to learn react, but it is very good if you are already familiar with it. I had to reduce the speed of the videos to 0.75x because it was going extremely quickly but i managed to complete it and even give it some changes with hooks and others extra funtionalities. very cool.
