This course has been amazing. It’s a unique and high quality production. I haven’t been able to find this kind of information anywhere else. The instructor takes you through real life examples of popular games, dissects them to find out what makes them so successful, gives you the skills to analyze them yourself and apply these aspects to your own game. The instructor also explains a lot of the industry terms. What could have taken me a year to try to learn on my own, I was able to learn in hours with this course. I am very satisfied with this course and highly recommend it to others.

Kevin is a proven gamesmaker with excellent insight into the industry and I have learnt so much from him. I know my games are going to be so much improved from the excellent teaching he provides.

Understanding what made some games successful is not an easy task for me! This is what this course is about: analyzing other unicorn games, like Helix Jump, and understanding what elements make that game so satisfying and so successful. It really helped me a lot to understand the secrets behind those games, so thank you for creating this course.
Eduard Musoiu –

If you are making mobile games you will get a lot from this course. I took a bunch of notes and the checklist I will be implementing into my next game. Kevin really knows his stuff and is the master at reverse engineering trends and showing whats working and what isn’t.

Very informative course from beginning to end on what you need to learn and understand to build a successful hyper casual game. Kevin also dissects a few successful titles which in itself is a helpful exercise you can also do yourself to stay ahead on what’s working and what’s not working in the App Store.

A really good course by Kevin Wolstenholme. Kevin has had 13 games featured by Apple and over 18 million downloads which is a tremendous accomplishment and his experience in game development really shines through during the lectures. In a nutshell, he knows what he is talking about. Once the introduction is complete, the course progresses onto recorded sessions from his RisingHigh Academy and are laid out in more of a conversational style rather than being a structured course, and these are nuggets of gold. My advice is to view these latter parts more than once because there’s some very useful information here that could be easily missed the first time. In all, it’s a great course to learn more about hyper casual games for mobiles.

Nice introduction into hyper casual game development

I really do enjoy hearing what the author’s thoughts are on the current hypercasual market, and i appreciate that there aren’t many courses like this around. However, it seemed pretty bare bones in terms of any technical details. Its all big concept thinking which is fine. I was just hoping for more science behind it. Great introduction to the market trends and publishers but the videos themselves don’t actually have that much content in them. Worth the 10$ though
Mahmood Justanieah –
The course spends all its time playing games and analyzing them and talks about publishing games a little bit and a whole section of collected thrown stuff. This course should be free at best. Expected at least one real life programmed example of a hyper casual game.

Very good course! I got all the info I needed to make hyper casual games. I also got a lot of experience analyzing existing successful games, which is a very important aspect of hyper casual game design.
