NEW! I have added a new project and videos which will explore React class–based component lifecycle methods and their functional components using hooks equivalent. The project and its heavily commented source code are available for download now!

Remember when you enroll in the course, you get access to all of the content forever including new content which is added as time goes along…

CHECKOUT the Hello World Video for Free! I put 45 mins of React teaching up here for free (Free Preview) so you can see if my teaching style and content is right for you!

IMPORTANT: There are many courses for you to choose from when learning about React. Most of those courses do not focus on React, they are unfocused bootcamp style courses where a thousand topics are covered and the biggest projects ever are undertaken. This course, Getting Started with React, is not like that by design. Most React developers need training on the core aspects of React not endless related library APIs and so–called big projects. In–person, I teach experienced React developers almost everyday and most of them lack the fundamental skills needed to build React applications correctly. This course walks through, step–by–step, how to build React components the right way by focusing on React (not a 1000 other topics) and exploring/explaining best practices. Beware of 40 hour courses which most students never finish and contain topics you will never need. Instead focus on this shorter, more focused course which you can finish in a day and employ your new skills in your work tomorrow (or even tonight)!

Instructor Details

I specialize in providing training on the hottest JavaScript technologies being used today. I go deeper than just learning the APIs, I dive into the depths of the technologies to understand how they really work, and explore the best, real-world practices using those technologies. My trainings are not cookie cutter classes of boring slide decks and lab manuals. Everything we do is live and dynamic, giving students relevant, practical and challenging coding exercises where they code applications under real-world conditions. In my live classes, we do group code reviews, group debugging sessions and many of our classes feature group projects and presentations. My goal is to prepare students to be successful software developers. This is not just another feel good experience where students walk away with a smile, empty pockets and they still cannot write code.

Nothing about the instructor, who is great, but i am disappointed with the technology itself. To make such a task you write much less lines of code and on a much more elegant way in Vue.js.

I love how in this course you will get more knowledge about javascript and html so you wont do some bad choices when writing code. Very easy to follow and understand. Most importantly writing the code together. Very good for memorizing code and understanding aswell.

A right–sized introductory course on React that starts stronger than it finishes. The earlier sections do a good job of relaying an understanding of the subject matter, but the latter sections become more of a watch me do this with very little discussion of the why or how aspects of each choice (which, to be fair, is a problem shared by most Udemy courses). A solid introduction to the state of React in 2019 but will require supplemental material before you can accomplish anything nearing ready–to–deploy applications –– particularly if you are new to the material.

Sorry, initially i gave a one star rating, but changed it to a 5 star now, its a really nice course, i was expecting a different thing in the beginning, but this actually gave me more value than i thought i was looking for.

The best detailed explanation for each line of code I’ve experienced for learning React. Eric is an amazing instructor.
