Have you ever wanted to build your own Airplane Physics using the Rigidbody component in Unity 3D?  Do you want to know more about setting up modular code to make your workflows faster and more re–usable?  If so, this course is for you!  Throughout the contents of this course you will learn how to create a fully functional Airplane Physics model.

In the course you will learn to build the full physics flight model, how to animate the propeller, how to setup inputs, how to build a dynamic airplane camera, how to animate all the control surfaces of the plane, and more!

By the end of this course you will have your very own Flight Physics System that you can use for your own flying games.

By Purchasing the Course you get the Following:

The Complete Airplane Physics Code

Two Airplane Models, the Indie–Pixel Plane and the F4U Corsair

Complete UI kit to create the Instrument UI for the Airplane

Instructor Details

I began this whole journey through art. When in high school I developed a very strong interest in drawing and 2D animation. From there I began to get enveloped into the work of 3D. After Graduating High school I attended the Art Institute of Seattle. There I gained my AA degree in Computer animation. I interned at Surreal Software, then moved onto working on the very first version of Xbox at Microsoft. I worked on NFL fever 2000, NHL Rivals 2002, and Inside Drive. From there I have worked at Activision, again at Microsoft, my own companies Creative TD and Ozone Interactive, and am now exploring Interactive Arts experiences at Indie Pixel. There have been many things along the way but my love is in 3D, real-time arts, shaders, procedural content creation, math, modeling, texturing, and helping others through teaching.

The instructor is very pleasant to follow along with. He is very responsive to questions you may have. (Which makes this course stand out), in my opinion. The models used in the course are AAA quality. I would recommend this course to anyone!

Pretty complex while still being fun, learning a lot. As a jr dev I’m new to unity so I appreciate how organized Mr. Lammars has been. From laying the idea architecture in draw.io, the tutorials progress logically through each facet of the project. Highly recommended!

I would love to see this series continue with more vehicle simulations. Race car, boat, military vehicles, construction vehicles, tractor trailer. I would buy all of them.

Kenny is an awesome teacher, sometimes he lost in code stuff but he teached me a lot of tech and best practice I’m using everyday, plus is a fast answer and inside here he put a lot of materials. Not only just coding but teach you the mobile controls best practice that I found really usefull. Ah another important things is that he constantly add new stuff on his course so pay a visit constantly for find new tutorials ! Meanwhile I will wait for the ending part of the mobile control lessons 🙂 Recommended course for everyone !

Not too far in, but very easy to understand and overall seems to be a good course. There are a couple times when I have done something exactly how he did it but got different results, but other than this it has been pretty good.

Very nice course for beginners and intermediate people who want to implement airplane physics. Note that this is not accurate physics implementation, but nice for arcade games.

I came for the airplane physics. I left with the airplane physics I needed, plus quite a few good unity tips I was not expecting.

His ability to make the lesson easy to understand while teaching both basic and intermediate is wonderful. I can use what I am learning right away and I am getting a flight game at the same time!

Really awesome. After playing with Unity for a good 4 years, this video really thought me the little details of the physics of rigidbodies. Thank you.

I’m finding the course a bit challenging to follow. I am more accustomed to the format of 1. This is what i will tell you, tell me, this is what i told you. I’m finding the course rich in narrative, but i’m really confused about where I am going. I was also expecting that we would be starting with basic building blocks and then refining/adding to it etc. whereas we seem to be setting up for the final outcome form the outset. This may work for some but not for me so far.

Excellent course. I’m not yet far in but it is very comprehensive and detailed, and the teacher’s passion for the topic shines through. I’d love an extention tutorial on implementing a cockpit with switches etc. for a fuller simulator, as well as virtual flight stick etc. and more on configuring joystick controls. Also would have loved something on adding wind, thermals, and weather Physics. You can use this course as a base for your flight sim and modify physical characteristics of different planes. I have tried the completed package and it works in unity 2020.3 although a little tweaking might be required.
